I don't usually shop there. I occasionally go there to pick up some specials such as dark chocolate or some biscuits. I usually come across to a young gentleman, Brendon, who is a very nice and pleasant young guy with a great customer service. He makes all the difference. And I don't mind having a good chat with the check out people.
I shop here regularly and it's good...but....
There are 2 checkout operators that I avoid at all costs - they talk incessantly and about their personal matters that I have absolutely no interest in. I just want to do my shopping, don't need to here all your problems etc. I get they need to be polite, but I'm the customer - not your therapist!!!!
It's a male and a female- if you shop here regularly you probably know who I am referring to! đ«ą
Woolworths at Woodcroft Plaza is a quite good supermarket. My only concern is that they never have enough checkouts open. I refuse to use self serve checkouts as I believe they take jobs away. Saying that the staff are friendly and helpful if you need directing to a product you can't locate. đ âŠ
My store for weekly shop. Excellent staff, can nearly always get what I need. Staff went above and beyond when I was unwell while shopping with my husband before Christmas, nothing was too much trouble. Keep up the good work!
Absolutely not happy! Firstly online experience from Woolworths, then this store staff experience.
I placed an order for delivery from here and waited OVER 15 hours for it. It was a delivery now confirmed order.
After a few hours the store had closed, 9pm, so went on to the webchat, where I spoke to a woman whose name Iâll withhold from here and was told at 9.07pm by her not to worry as she can see the delivery driver is there NOW to collect it and deliver it and to wait a further 15-20 minutes. Of course this never happened. I knew they were closed and he wasnât there to pick it up and deliver. So at 9.57pm I phoned the customer service number and spoke to a guy who said they wasnât there thatâs right as it had closed. I said for sure!
She lied and treated me like I was unable to figure this. Not happy about that. Also,
On this order, they specifically ask you to add notes upon checkout to avoid substitutions you really donât want. So I didâŠ..
I said no olive breadâŠ..I get two loaves of it !! Staff canât even read the notes on the orders.
Then I get a measly $3 store credit and $2 refund for two sourdough loaves we hate and canât eat and DIDNT ASK FOR at $14 the two that I paid.
Take the biscuit this company, really unhappy and wonât shop again with this company let alone this store that canât read the orders.
The time before, I asked for spring onions and was given a leek instead.
Ridiculous. You donât even get compensated in full just a lousy store credit to make you return!!
I put a feedback and complaint in and all I got was âwere very sorryâ and they expected a high rating for their response from it.
I worked in retail sales over 30
years!!!
This is not how it goes!
Mega expensive too again for veg and fruit that arrives half rotten, radishes arriving soft and springy instead of firm and crisp, apples bruised and bashed and brown, avocados squishy and brown before openingâŠ.. better quality stores out there than this horrid one now. Fresh food people my butt.
Thieving day light robbers and liars more like.
One of the larger and newer Woolworths stores with everything you'd expect. Best time to shop if you want to avoid the busiest periods seems to be 7am - 9am.
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
*UPDATE* I have now been shopping here for nearly six years and while it is a very well laid out store many shelves are frequently half or fully empty. That means I have to go do the rest of my shopping elsewhere or come back in a few days in the hope that they have restocked. And that's the reason I now go further to the Aberfoyle Park Woolworths to shop because they keep their shelves fully stocked. If this store can do it why can't Woodcroft?
Often poorly stocked in the **BASIC** items in fruit/veg, meat department & also frozen veg. I know they're in stock at the store because online says they're in stock and everytime I've asked, they grab it for me from "out the back"
The fake bakery here is pretty average too... 90% of it is baked offsite and/or defrosted or baked off in store eg: Subway style cookies & bread rolls like the bake at home type - "Woolworths the fresh food people"
Other than those things... The store is ok, good + bad staff, modern, clean & well formatted. What you would expect and absolutely nothing more. If a good Coles (like Noarlunga but without meth-heads) was convenient, I'd go there instead.
So I foolishly attended at this excuse for a super market this morning at 9am....only a few rhaspberries on the shelf no packaged truss tomatos, no stay crisp lettuce, no kestrel potatoes. Walking around lots and lots and lots of empty shelves. I though we were back in covid times...when i went to pay there was no checkouts open. Only the self serves and the limited item checkouts. I had to go through the limited item check out with a trolley full of food. What a useless store this is. SOOOO BADLY RUN.if I could give no stars I bloody well would.
